Metzler Asset Management GmbH has been allocated a USD 200 million QFII quota for direct investment in China

Since January 2012 Metzler Asset Management GmbH has been one of the few German financial services companies licensed by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CRSC) as a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII). At the start of November 2012 China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) set the maximum investment quota for Metzler at USD 200 million. Metzler Asset Management GmbH will reserve this limited quota exclusively for investments by its clients.

As a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor, Metzler Asset Management GmbH, which is part of the Frankfurt-based private bank Metzler, can now offer investors direct access to A shares, a market segment that is normally reserved for Chinese investors, and to investments in Chinese renminbi (RMB).

Metzler Asset Management GmbH signs UN Principles for Responsible Investment

Metzler Asset Management GmbH became a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) in April 2012.

The Principles for Responsible Investment are based on the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) principles and reflect the growing importance of these issues in investment decisions. Metzler receives five stars in "Capital" magazine's Fund Compass award

In February 2012 Metzler's asset management products received five stars in Capital magazine's Fund Compass award. Metzler was awarded top marks along with six other fund companies. Overall Metzler's ranking has improved on the previous year by eight notches. Besides analyzing the fund quality by measuring the performance over one, three and five year periods as per 31st December 2011, the compass also evaluates the private investor services, management performance and product spectrum. Metzler scored well according to all valuation criteria and most importantly managed to visibly upgrade the number of points for fund quality. In the latest fund compass, a special mention is given to Metzler European Growth and Metzler Aktien Deutschland as top funds.
