The Metzler/Payden joint venture

In 1998 Metzler Bank and the US asset manager Payden & Rygel established Metzler/Payden, LLC, a joint venture based in Los Angeles. Founded in 1983, Payden & Rygel is currently one of the largest independent investment managers in the United States. It manages around USD 65 billion for retail and institutional investors.

The Metzler/Payden joint venture rounds out Metzler Asset Management’s product portfolio. It offers global bond products, including emerging markets, high-yielders and inflation linkers. Another area of activity is providing advice on reducing portfolios of toxic assets. In addition, Metzler/Payden gives clients access to the North American and global equity markets.
